Tony's Verdict:Â A free transfer from Tranmere Rovers. Arrived as an unknown quantity, with a full Welsh cap earned in 1996. He had a reputation as a "promising youngster" whose career has been blighted by injury. To the sceptical Mariner this sounded a little too like Rhys Wilmot. His initial performances were Wilmotesque, culminating in a nightmare at Prenton Park - all floppy hair and flapping hands. Improved greatly, allying fine shot stopping with the occasional foray outside his 6 yard box to catch a cross or two. | ||||||||||||||||||||
