The Fishy - Grimsby Town FC

Question of the Week

Where will Grimsby be next season?

Smith to Return

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 11/10/2000

Grimsby reserves play Blackpool reserves away from home today and Richard Smith at long last will return to football after a long layoff due to his operation to have vertebrae fused in the hope of curing his back problems.

If he can retain full match fitness it will be a another long term injured player returning to strengthen the team with Wayne Burnett also back on the road to recovery. Ureil Trustfall the Dutch player on trial with Town will also be in the team and it is hopeful that Scottish midfielder, Neil Murray will receive his clearance to play from the German FA in time to enable him to play. With players returning and new loan and trial players on the scene, one would hope that Town are gradually getting things right again.
