Zhang Visa Delay

Chinese defender, and captain of the international Chinese football team, Zhang Enhua, currently on loan at Blundell Park, has returned to China in a quest for the visa required to play for Grimsby. The bizarre rules on visas mean that Zhang is unable to apply for a visa whilst resident in the UK.

The delay has put back the likelihood of Zhang making his Grimsby debut in the Norwich City game on Sat 16th December. It is now more likely that the Chinese star, who received a rapturous greeting from the Blundell Park crowd during Saturday's game against Palace, will make his debut for the Mariners during the festive period games of Preston (away, 23rd) or Stockport (home, 26th).
