Nielsen Denies Greed

It appears that outgoing Town striker David Nielsen, has set his sights on a move to another English club. Speaking of his remaining contract at Copenhagen, "I know that I have been called greedy by the fans at home, but if I really was, I would just go home and sit out the rest of my contract."

At the same time the former Danish under 21 striker declared in an interview in the Danish press that he would rather go to an English club that had the finances for both FC Copenhagen and himself, benefiting both parties.

Nielsen, who has scored six goals in his three month spell at Blundell Park, went on to state he was puzzled at the fact that his manager, Lennie Lawrence, who had been praising him only weeks ago, had now turned sour, and left him out of the team

Nielsen also believes that the former Luton Town manager has made him the scapegoat for Town’s recent poor results. But the 23 year old striker remained defiant saying that he knows what he can do as a footballer and at the end of the month will pack his bags back to Copenhagen, hoping to eventually move back into English football.
