Premier Striker For Town?

By: Bill Osborne

Town Boss Lennie Lawrence has been unable to secure a loan player in time for the Wimbledon game on Saturday which means that Jonathan Rowan and Bradley Allen will figure in the lineup. However he has been busy and is hoping to finalise a loan of a Premier league striker sometime next week.

"I've got a prime target from a Premiership club but it won't be until next week", said Lawrence today, speaking of the new prospect. "They haven't said yes yet but neither have they said no....If they say no we'll switch to the other options but I'm not doing anything else while that remains a possibility".

This is the break Lennie has been looking for in securing a replacement for David Nielsen and if he is successful in his bid it will be provide Town with the striking power Lawrence is looking for.
