GRIMSBY TOWN Football Club have now taken over £200,000 in season ticket sales, with supporters hurrying to buy their tickets after the fixture list was published. Sales are expected to get even better, with the busiest period for sales still to come.

"...We could be looking at selling over 3,000..."

Accounts Manager Steve Wraith has his eyes targeted on a final figure of around £400,000. Mr Wraith explained: "Things have been going really well but we expect to get busier still. We could be looking at selling over 3,000 - which will provide a good fan base for the club."

After the new fixture list provided Town with some big bank holiday clashes (Coventry City on Boxing Day, Sheffield Wednesday on Easter Monday), Mariners supporters have been eager to guarantee their seats for these mouth-watering encounters. To date, Town have sold tickets worth £210,000 - last year's final total was £368,000.

Fans should note that the current discounts on season tickets run out at the end of this month. To book your favourite seat for the coming season, the ticket office can be contacted on 01472 605050.
