Latest News and Update on Arsenal Ticket Sales

By: Mariners Net
Date: 17/11/2001

THE FIFTH day of tickets for the Arsenal game - the second for people with three counterfoils from the Watford, Birmingham and Norwich games - has seen steady sales continuing, before the anticipated rush when they go on general sale next week.

Steve Wraith, who is in charge of the Ticket Distribution said, "The whole operation of selling Arsenal tickets has gone exceedingly well so far. I don't think things could have gone better really."

He reminded fans that the ticket office hours were from 9 o'clock until 5 o'clock each day, and that those outside of NE Lincolnshire could send in postal applications.

Next week, those people who collected a counterfoil from any game this season will have the opportunity to purchase up to two tickets per counterfoil, and from 9 o'clock on Thursday 22nd any remaining tickets go on general sale.

Steve reminded fans that tickets are also on sale for this Saturday's crunch game with Millwall at Blundell Park (3:00 p.m.). The usual prices apply - including the child free with adult in the Main Stand.

Latest news was that Millwall were not expected to bring more than 500 travelling supporters to Blundell Park. A Millwall spokesman told Mariner's Web that this number was about usual for Millwall away games, with the exception of their match at Crystal Palace where 6,000 Lions fans attended to roar on their team. For a team 'on a roll' this seems a small away following, though doubtless the London fans will make themselves heard.

The Website will keep people informed of sales at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day.

Town are running executive coaches to the Arsenal game. The package includes a match ticket and travel. For details contact Tony Richardson on 01472 608006.

By 4 o'clock this afternoon (Friday), a total of 1,785 tickets had been sold, with 3,473 still currently available.
