WITH REGARD to your article re. GTFC and LL perhaps the players may be more positive if the Board were to extend LL's contract by say 6-12 months. Okay the knockers won't like that and no doubt there will be cries of who is this plonker But cast your minds back a couple of weeks....
Marlon Broomes said - and the Telegraph printed it - that he would like to stay at GTFC but it would depend in part on what happened to Lennie. Furthermore the players put a piece in the Telegraph supporting him. By extending his contract it may steady the ship, the players' doubts may be dispelled, and they can get on with what they are being paid for: Play Football!
If it doesn't work then at least the Board have tried and it would cost a fortune to pay LL off. It would show the players the Board support what's going on, and I believe that is as much a problem as the football. The news from the club is non-existent, the profile needs lifting a gear; it's currently in reverse and I agree is going downhill fast and about to fall over the precipice.
