Town Board Making Moves?

REPORTS just coming out suggest that moves are being made behind the scenes at Blundell Park to make more money available for Lennie Lawrence to strengthen the team.
Although Furneaux says he is confident Lawrence will steer the Mariners to safety he also added that "every aspect of the club is under constant review."
Furneaux is reported to have backed Lennie to lead the Mariners to safety adding that money may soon be available to Lawrence depending on the outcome of talks presently going on.
"We are currently talking to people about joining the board and we are looking to strengthen the team. We are backing the manager and we've been giving him more money all the time."
He did not mention whether "every aspect" included the performance of manager Lawrence but it would be safe to assume that the board cannot let the present situation last for too long.
They are already under a great deal of criticism and dissatisfaction by the fans who are looking for action from some quarter.
