Groves Still Looking For Striker!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 22/03/2002

PAUL Groves has so far failed to find a striker because he has not been able to act immediately because his hands have been tied by the Pringle loan and said that a number of targets had slipped through the net simply because he cannot act until next week.

"We've had to watch while two or three have gone out this week," Groves told the Grimsby Telegraph.

One of those was Adam Proudlock but Groves said: "We are definitely interested in bringing someone in but we have been thwarted in terms of timing. But we will keep looking at it."

Some would say that with Todd in the team we hardly need another striker. Todd signed this week until the end of the season but on the proviso that if an offer is made for him, he will be called back off loan.
