All Change! Says Groves

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 24/12/2002

THE Grimsby Telegraph revealed today that Paul Groves is set to make big changes ahead of the Boxing Day clash with Derby to preserve players for three home games in a week.

Gallimore is definitely out and Macca is doubtful and Stacy Coldicott was not fully fit against Sheffield Wednesday and could be left out with matches against Norwich, Bradford and Burnley expected to take priority.

Paul Groves said: "I don't think we'll be the same for Derby. We've got to look at the games and to ask people to try and play two games in three days and get the best out of them is difficult. It's unrealistic."

"We've got suspensions coming up and people who have been just getting through games and hanging on in there. With a paper-thin squad it's not possible."

Terry Cooke, Groves and Jason Gavin will all be in the squad and a warning to All players to be ready if the call comes.
