LOAN star John Oster has been recalled to the Stadium of Light by Sunderland manager Howard Wilkinson.
Oster has been in impressive for Town during his two month spell, which was due to end after the Bradford game on New Years Day.
Obviously his form has alerted Wilkinson who wants to include Oster in the squad for the Black Cats game against Manchester United on New Years Day.
Paul Groves was keen to extend Oster's loan deal for another month and club captain John McDermott issued a 'please stay' plea to Oster earlier today.
Groves must now look for inspiration elsewhere with Terry Cooke the obvious candidate to replace Oster on the right wing.
