Pouton Out For 6 Games?

ALAN Pouton looks like being banned for SIX matches after being handed a 4 match ban and will face an FA tribunal about his sending off at Preston in December.

Paul Groves told the Grimsby Telegraph that that he expects to be without Pouton for virtually the entire run-in.

Pouton was red carded in the 3-3 draw at Deepdale on December 14 but as he left the pitch he threw his armband at the linesman - prompting the FA hearing.

"The hearing was supposed to be today but it has been changed. Alan has already served a one-match ban for that and now they want to ban him for longer" said Groves.

"After Watford he'll miss the matches with Rotherham, Burnley, Leicester and Wolves and he's got this hearing hanging over him. He's got four matches after last week and now I think he'll get two more on top of that."

"I think we'll only have him available for the last two games. It's an absolute hammer blow."
