Question of the Week

Who will go down?

November Player of the Month

By: Tony Hamilton
Date: 02/12/2004

IT'S that time of the month when the Fishy reveals which players have been picked for November's Player of the Month Award by its readers. You can nominate players using the form which is always at the end of match reports.

Home > 2004-2005 Season > Player of the Month > November

So here are the six nominations for November:

Anthony Williams
Anthony Williams Hold the records for Wales U-21 caps and is the only player to play in each of the Mariners' games this season. Hopefully the Welshman will cut out the mistakes which have marred this season, and prove some of the supporters wrong. Anthony Williams Profile
John McDermott
John McDermott Grimsby Town's new formation has helped Macca score two goals this season. Macca has got forward a lot more this year and has already picked up one Fishy Player of the Month award. John McDermott Profile
Andy Parkinson
Andy Parkinson Russell Slade still has to find where Parky should play. Whether that’s up front or playing in midfield, but wherever he plays the Liverpudlian always gives 100% and is one of the outstanding players so far this season. Andy Parkinson Profile
Terry Fleming
Terry Fleming When fit he’s the first name on the team sheet - so the Gaffer says - and is missed when he can't turn out for Grimsby Town. Hopefully the former Cambridge midfielder will help Town push for a play-off place. Terry Fleming Profile
Thomas Pinault
Thomas Pinault One of the best foreigners to play in the sacred black and white stripes and needs to get in the game more. League Two football is a bit hit and miss at times, but if the Frenchman adapts to it he'll be one of the outstanding midfielders in the division. Thomas Pinault Profile
Dean Gordon
Dean Gordon Has been a revelation wherever in the team the former Palace defender has played. and Gordon is one of the front runners for the overall award. Holds the record for a player being on a week to week contract and the way he is playing shows Gordon should be performing at a higher standard. Dean Gordon Profile

November Games
06-11ScunthorpeA0-2
13-11ExeterA0-1
20-11KidderminsterH2-1Gordon, Pinault
26-11SouthendA1-1McDermott

So here are the 6 nominations for November and remember you can pick the overall winner by voting when these appear on Question of the Week

Carry on reading the match reports, and keep voting for the Man Of The Match. Remember all these votes will go towards the overall winner in May at the Grimsby Town Player of the Year night at the Winter Gardens.
