New Faces Today in Reserves?

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 18/01/2006

GRIMSBY Town reserves travel to North Ferriby United's Church Road ground to take on Hull City in a Pontins Holidays League game today kicking off at 2.00pm.

The official line up is listed as:

Town: (from) Murray, Downey, Barwick, Taylor-T, Chamberlain, Higgins, Britteon, Foulkes, Palmer, Gritton, North, Ashton, Bore, Taylor-A, Rock, Jackson, Shahin. However, it is known that Russell Slade was interested in looking at a couple of foreign players. If that is still a current aim, today could be a good day to have a look at them.

Slade has not yet closed the book on new signings and last season a couple of new faces turned up in a reserves game without any previous announcement.

It will be interesting to see if that occurs again today.

Those who have the time might want to have look at the second string and any surprises Slade might produce.

Postscript: Town lost 4-1
