Beat the Bookies: Week 35

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 29/03/2006

WEST Ham left it late to beat Wigan last week but made Beat the Bookies a tidy profit. With Carlisle looking like Champions and Rushden likely to go down, the prospect of actually beating the bookies this season looms!

Home > 2005-2006 Season > Beat the Bookies > Week 35

After last weekend's disaster at Lincoln Grimsby are back home, this time to Wrexham. Most people, the bookies included, would expect Town - who have won their last 4 home games - to be favourites to win again. However, the fact is that most of the last four games were against poor teams, and a lot of them were also quite close! Wrexham are a better side than Boston, Chester, Barnet and Bury and are chasing a place in the play-offs. With bet365.com offering 10/3 for an away win it's definitely good value for money against a team whose confidence must have taken a pounding after two dramatic games last week against Rochdale and Lincoln..

Elsewhere in League Two in-form Northampton and Leyton Orient have tricky away ties at Peterborough and Notts County respectively. Mid-table County have nothing to play for now, their recent form is poor, and bet365.com's 13/10 for an away win is a decent price.

Mansfield have hit form of late, and are a good priced Evens with bet365.com to beat Oxford at home, who have pulled away from trouble recently are now look safe.

RECOMMENDED BET OF THE WEEK:
Wrexham to beat Grimsby (10/3)
