Town Freeze Season Ticket Prices

By: GTFC
Date: 10/06/2006

GRIMSBY Town have announced a freeze on season ticket prices for the 2006/ 2007 season. Season tickets in the Upper Smiths and Main Stands will stay at £323, while the Lower Smiths represents great value at just £285. Pontoonites will also pay just £285 for the season.

Junior prices of £70 a season are valid for youngsters aged 14 and under, with tickets for young adults between 15-18 cost £90 for the campaign.

Mariners' prices compare favourably with other clubs in League Two - especially junior season ticket prices.

Town accounts manager Steve Wraith said: "It is important to the club to maintain the impetus built last year and having around 2,500 season tickets to begin the season gives us a great base to build the atmosphere on."

"Season ticket sales have been set for four weeks from Monday, June 19 to encompass any new signings new manager Graham Rodger wants to make. This gives those supporters who might not want to buy a season ticket time to weigh up how the squad's progressing and make a commitment."

Mr Wraith continued: "Over the last three-four years, knowing that children are our future supporters , we have set junior prices very low, with next season's at just £70 again.

"This gives youngsters 13 games 'free' a season."

"Along with the 'Under 15 junior free' season ticket in the Main Stand, we feel that prices are very competitive, especially when you look at some of the prices charged at other clubs."

The club have signed a deal with Zebra Finance, who do credit for five Premiership clubs and fans who qualify will be able to pay for their season tickets over 10 months, for a small interest charge.

Any renewing season ticket holder will also receive a voucher for £10 discount off a new (home or away) Nike Town Shirt. (Excluding Main Stand Junior Free)

Existing season ticket holders will be sent renewal forms next week and sales will commence from 9am on Monday, June 19.Discounts will remain until Saturday, July 15.For the first time supporters will be able to renew their season tickets online.
