Beat the Bookies Xmas Special

LINCOLN City came up with a handy win away at Peterborough at the weekend to see Beat the Bookies move further into profit for the season! With a full Boxing Day set of fixtures there is time for a Xmas Special of Beat the Bookies.

Grimsby take on Hartlepool but it's a match I would steer clear of. Hartlepool are very strong at the moment and are rightly 8/11 favourites, but Town are more than capable of grabbing a point. If you are brave enough to go for a Grimsby win you can get generous odds of 10/3. But I believe there are richer, more likely, pickings in League Two.
Firstly Rochdale entertain Wrexham, with Dale seemingly stuck in a rut of neverending defeat. Amazingly, although Wrexham are not exactly flying in League Two, Rochdale are favourites to win the game. This despite the fact that Dale have lost 8 games out of 10, whereas Wrexham have only lost 3. The Red Dragons are unpredictable but nevertheless are great value at 19/10.
As far as Macclesfield are concerned the league table really is upside down! The Silkmen are flying at the moment but amazingly are 13/5 to win at local rivals Chester. Yes Chester are doing reasonably well but Paul Ince has transformed Macclesfield in recent weeks and at the moment they are a must back club.
The next best bet is 17/10 for in-form Bury to win at relegation-threatened Accrington.
