Buckley Signs Two!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 24/01/2007

ALAN Buckley has moved quickly to sign Stevenage striker Tony Thorpe until the end of the season. Thorpe was on loan with the Mariners earlier this season.

Buckley arranged for him to return to Blundell Park so he could have another look at him and it looks like Mr B is pleased with what he saw, resulting in the signing.

Defender Simon Grand who was also on loan to Town has been made an offer and has now joined the Mariners from Carlisle on a permanent deal, signing a 1.5 year contract.
