Rodger to Return?
By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 10/02/2007
FORMER Grimsby boss Graham Rodger could be set for a return to the club, according to BBC Radio Humberside. Rodger, who was sacked in November, has a long association with the Mariners, and could be returning to Town as Football in the Community Officer.
When Rodger stopped playing, he started working as Football in the Community Officer at Blundell Park, before gradually working his way up to becoming Assistant Manager and then Manager of the Mariners in 2006.
The Football In The Community programme aims to provide grass roots football to children of all abilities. Former winger Gary Childs is currently listed as Town' Football in the Community Officer.
Rodger was sacked in November after a poor run of results, after which current manager Alan Buckley took over, although there has not been any significant improvement in results under the new Town boss.
