Gary Harkins Signs For Partick

GARY Harkins has signed a one year contract with Partick Thistle after Alan Buckley agreed to him training with them hoping to get a contract.
Harkins told the Partick OS: "I'm delighted to get back up the road to Scotland and to get back to enjoying my football again. I hadn't been happy since moving to Grimsby and had been feeling a bit home sick"
"I had been down in England since I was 16 and that was fine when I was a YTS lad and surrounded with friends. It was a bit different at Grimsby where the rest of the lads had families and you get a bit lonely in those circumstances. Grimsby were fine about me coming up to Scotland and training with Thistle in an attempt to win a contract."
