NORTH EAST Lincs Council have formally given the Conoco Stadium the green light following the government's decision not to call in the club's planning application. The development in Great Coates has now been granted subject to several conditions imposed.
Town chairman John Fenty told Mariners Net: "This is great news. Our developers are now in a position to tangibly go to the retail market with a planning permission, which will be the decisive test in the delivery program. The retail enabling development has always been the key to this project becoming a reality and that remains the case."
Grim Rob Says: Another significant milestone has been reached but we are still a fair way from the bulldozers moving in. Town now presumably have to find the retail partners they need to enable the complex to be built.
