Town Draw Scunny in JPT

GRIMSBY have drawn neighbours Scunthorpe United away in the second round of the Johnstone Paint Trophy. Town will have a chance to make up for their 4-0 pounding at Glanford Park just a month ago in the Lincolnshire Senior Cup Final.
Town played Scunthorpe in the same competition 11 years ago, when they won 2-0 at Glanford Park and went on to win the trophy. Grimsby of course got to the final of the JPT again last season, when 25,000 Town fans saw them lose 2-0 to MK Dons at the national stadium.
With the match being a local derby a large gate is likely, which will boost Town's coffers. Town avoided the two big guns Leicester and Leeds, which are in their half of the draw.
