Weekend News Round-Up

STRIKER Adrian Forbes will be sidelined for at least six weeks after a scan showed a hairline fracture of his right fibula. The scan was taken after Forbes struggled to get over what appeared to be a routine "knock", but now its true extent has been realised it means a lengthy layoff.

Town's postponed game with Crewe at Gresty Road has been rescheduled for Tue March 9th (19:45).

Hull City midfielder Nicky Featherstone has extended his loan move with Town for a further month. The right winger has been a regular player since arriving from the KC Stadium.

Meanwhile wide player Chris Jones has left Blundell Park on loan with Welsh Premier League side Neath until the end of the season. Forgotten man Jones has been frozen out the side since the early part of the season. He began the campaign at the forefront of Mike Newell's plans but has faded out of contention and hardly made the bench in recent weeks,
