Kettering v Grimsby Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 11/03/2011

GRIMSBY travel to Kettering on Saturday with two midfielder players suspended following their recent red cards. Micky Cummins and Mark Hudson are both unavailable to caretaker boss Dave Moore, who may have to turn to Dean Sinclair, Lee Peacock or Michael Leary to fill the gaps.

Bryan Hughes (Achilles) is not an option in midfield due to injury.

Town's other worry is in goal with Kenny Arthur (thigh) still injured. Goalkeeping coach Steve Croudson may have to play again, but the veteran is unable to play regularly and Town are considering going into the loan market to address the problem until Arthur has recovered.

For the visitors Veteran Kettering goalkeeper Willy Gueret (banned) is unavailable, but defender Ian Roper (ankle) is fit again.

  • FORMER Grimsby Town Vice Chairman Mike Parker is to double his stake in the club to one million pounds by buying additional shares in the club. However Parker will not be re-joining the board, so will continue to support Town a "back bencher".

Mike Parker told BBC Radio Humberside: "Clearly I will remain a substantial shareholder in the club and I will continue to work in its best interests. At this stage, I see this being best done from outside the boardroom, rather than within it. As a lifelong fan I will always have the best interests of the club at heart and hope for every success in the future".
