Tamworth v Grimsby Team News

TOWN head to Tamworth tonight knowing they cannot afford to get anything less than maximum points to stand a chance of catching up with the leading pack. However the Mariners are boosted by the return of leading scorer Liam Hearn and otherwise have a fully fit squad to pick from.

Grimsby battled to get a point at promotion rivals Luton on Saturday but need to go one better tonight. They recently failed to beat Tamworth at Blundell Park, despite having the lion's share of possession, and cannot afford a repeat performance in the away fixture. Town have still to play promotion rivals Kidderminster, Gateshead, Southport and Wrexham - and they need to win most of those games, a tall order.

Since Tamworth last played Town they have made two loan signings from League One MK Dons - midfielder George Baldock and striker Charlie Collins. Grimsby have come close to beating Tamworth before but have never done so in five outings. The Lambs still need a few more points to be certain of avoiding the drop.
