Transfer Deadline Signings

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 31/01/2013

BURY striker Lenell John-Lewis has joined the Mariners in a permanent deal over the next 18 months. The former Imp, who can play on the wing as well as up front, has been released by Bury and will be available for Saturday's game with Alfreton.

The 23-year-old has spent the last two and a half seasons as Gigg Lane, where he scored 9 goals in 83 appearances - although less than 20 of those were starts.

Prior to joining Lincoln, where he spent four years, John-Lewis was at Grantham. He'll be familiar with Town loanee Marcus Marshall who is on loan from Bury until the end of the season, and whom Luton tried to sign recently in controversial circumstances.

  • Grimsby's away matches with Macclesfield and Luton have both moved to Friday night in order to be shown live on TV.

Grimsby have only 9 Saturday league games left this season. The other 9 BSP matches are all midweek evening games.

A number of other games have been moved for the TV schedule. The full fixture list can be found here.
