The Fishy - Grimsby Town FC

Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

Two Points Dropped

GRIMSBY slumped to another disappointing result at Blundell Park, drawing 0-0 with relegation-threatened Barrow. Town have lost two and drawn one of the last three games at home, and the away form has been just as bad,

The managers once again changed the side, bringing in new signing Cleveland Taylor into midfield, and Southwell was a surprise partner up front for Cook.

Grimsby had a nervous start and Barrow had the better of the early stages of the game.

Town created the first opening when Thanoj played Taylor clean through for what could have been a dream debut but he couldn't steer the ball round the 'keeper.

A poor first half resulted in Town switching to 4-3-3 in the second half with Devitt pushing up to join the other two.

Devitt and Cook came off after an hour and were replaced by John Lewis and Wilson.

Out of nothing Barrow striker Rowe fired a shot across the goal and almost scored.

With 5 mins to go Wilson headed narrowly wide from a great John Lewis cross.

The game drifted to a disappointing draw between two poor sides.

Town have a quick chance to make amends when they visit Stockport on Monday.
