Grimsby v Barrow Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 29/03/2013

NEW loan signing Cleveland Taylor is expected to feature in Saturday's game with Barrow at Blundell Park, a game Town really must win if they want to secure one of the play-off berths. The 29-year-old winger has signed on loan from Burton, but made his name during four years at Scunthorpe.

Several players were rested for the 1-1 draw at Gateshead, which Town deserved to win on Tuesday night, but came unstuck because they didn't get the second goal their overall play deserved, then conceded a late free kick.

Midfielders Craig Disley and Derek Niven are the main injury worries, but several other players are carrying knocks as well, so there may be more changes.

Grimsby are going to need their full squad over the next fortnight as they have a hectic sequence of games on Saturday then Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, Tuesday and, Friday.

Barrow have won the last two games to give themselves a life-line in their fight against relegation. The Cumbrians looked doomed a few weeks ago but have turned things around with three wins in the last six games and currently are just two points from the fifth bottom club, plus they have a game in hand.
