Grimsby beat Sunderland

THE Mariners bounced back to winning ways in their latest pre-season friendly, defeating a second string Sunderland side 2-0 at Blundell Park.
Lenell John-Lewis was once again on target to continue his goal scoring form, and winger Paddy McLaughlin sealed the points with a late win.
The Sunderland side contained no first team players at all, and was mainly young players - not far from the sort of "B" side it was at one time proposed Town could be playing in a League 3 designed to help future England players.
