First Game to be Televised

GRIMSBY'S fixture with Bristol Rovers on the opening day of the season has been moved forward to 12:45 to be televised on BT Sport. It means the Mariners will be televised for the third consecutive game (following the two Gateshead play-off games), possibly the first Conference Club to ever achieve this.
It will mean a very early start to anyone from Grimsby travelling down to the South West, It's a 230 mile trip that will probably take around 4-5 hours by road (according to Google).
BT Sport have also chosen matches at Eastleigh and Forest Green to televise in August. Subscribers to the channel will therefore see the four favourites to win the title (Rovers, FGR, Eastleigh and Grimsby) in the first few weeks of the season.
This site is by the fans, for the fans, and we will consider articles on any subject relating to the Mariners whether it be related to current news, a nostalgic look back in the past, a story about a player, a game or games in the past, something about Blundell Park or football in general.
