Grimsby v Altrincham Team News

PAUL Hurst will be hoping the Mariners bounce back to winning ways after two disappointing results: the home defeat to Southport on Tuesday night, and Saturday's draw at Dartford.

Hurst is boosted by the return of Craig Clay from illness, and Clay should be a straight swap for Craig Disley in midfield as Disley picked up a calf injury at Dartford.

Hurst made a controversial tactical change at the weekend when Patrick McLaughlin was preferred on the wing to Scott Neilson. Neilson came off the bench against Dartford and looked Town's most creative player so he could well start this match against Altrincham.

Town term injuries Aswad Thomas, Nathan Arnold and Jon-Paul Pittman are all still out, although Thomas is close to a return and could even make the bench tonight.

Town have never beaten Altrincham and lost the only game the two teams have played at Blundell Park three years ago, the season they got relegated.
