Town End on a High

GRIMSBY completed a near-perfect pre-season with a 3-1 win at Boston on Satutrday, with two goals from the profilic Padraig Amond and a late strike from Pearson sealing the victory. It means Town have won all nine games in which the first team squad have been involved in.

The only blemish during the pre-season games came at Grantham in the Lincolnshire Cup, when the youth team lost on penalties after the teams drew 1-1.

It means Town now head to Kidderminster at the weekend with an impressice haul of scalps from the pre-season games. However as everyone knows pre-season games mean nothing in the grand scheme of things and they'll be

Town had six players missing from the game with various complaints so Paul Hurst will be hoping at least some of them will be back in contention for the weekend.
