TOWN bounced back from Saturday's disappointing draw with Kidderminster with an emphatic win over Barrow in front of over 5,000 supporters at Blundell Park. The result was never in doubt thanks to early goals from Andy Monkhouse and Omar Bogle. Two second half strikes from Monkhouse and Nsiala put the result beyond doubt, with only a late consolati
Paul Hurst made a surprising decision to drop centre back Shaun Pearson bringing Richard Tait in as full back, which allowed Toto Nsiala to play in his more natural central position.
Town opened the scoring when Monkhouse headed in Tait's cross, and shortly afterwards Bogle scored his first Town goal to double Town's lead after a defensive mistake by the visitors.
Town continued to dominate the game and scored their third after the break when Arnold's shot was saved by Dixon but Monkhouse was quickest to react to the rebound and put Town three up.
Town got their fourth from the aftermath of a corner when Nsiala got the final strike after a goalmouth scramble.
Barrow's one consolation strike came in the 90th minute when Newby struck to deny Town a clean sheet. Town conceded late at Kidderminster, the difference in this game is that they had an unassailable lead so the late equaliser, although annoying, ultimately made little difference.
