Town Progess in FA Trophy

GRIMSBY booked their place in the Third Round of the FA Trophy with a 3-1 win over Weston-super-Mare. Conor Henderson, Omar Bogle and Jon-Paul Pittman scored for the Mariners, with Dayle Grubb levelling the match at 1-1 before Town pulled away in the second half.
Grimsby have now progressed through to the final 16 sides in the tournament which means that league fixtures will now be postponed in every round that the Mariners remain in the competition. Town's game with Woking at Blundell Park on 6th February has been called off as a result of both team's involvement in the FA Trophy. Cheltenham, Woking, Dover and Grimsby are the strongest teams remaining in the knock-out competition.
