Cheltenham v Grimsby Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 17/10/2017

GRIMSBY and Cheltenham have both come up from the National League in recent years, and both currently languish in mid-table no man's land. Both teams need to win to draw themselves closer to the play-off zone.

Ben Davies (ankle) and Karleigh Osborne (hamstring) are both doubtful, so new signing, right back Reece Hall-Johnson, may feature. Alternatively, Zak Mills could be restored to the starting line-up.

However, striker Akwasi Asante has been sent to Solihull Moors on loan until January, so will not be given a chance.

Cheltenham are expected to name an unchanged side. Striker Jaanai Gordon (knee) and defender Jordon Forster (Achilles) remain sidelined.

Grimsby have a terrible record against Cheltenham, who they once lost to in the play-off final. Of the six games since 2009-2010 season Town have experienced one draw and five losses.
