JF: Jolley was to be disciplined

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 17/11/2019

THE club have revealed that former manager Michael Jolley left the club due to the fact he was about to undergo a Displicnary hearing following his rant to Radio Humberside. Jolley decided to leave because he wished to avoid the outcome to this hearing.

The club accepted his request to leave so he was not therefore technically sacked, club director John Fenty revealed in an interview today. Fenty also claimed that the playing budget, which Jolley had implied was low, was as high as it is constrained to be by the regulations, and he expected it would put Town be roughly in the top ten when the final analysis was conducted by the league.

Jolley's expletive-laden rant, which took part after a 4-0 thrashing at home by a mid-table side, has attracted national media attention. In it, he attacks the radio station for being negative and the board for not giving him a competitive budget.

Grim Rob Says In retrospect it's clear that the pressure of the job got to Jolley and maybe his inexperience showed. It's disappointing that the video was aired, but at least the fans now have an answer. We move on and look for a new manager.
