GRIMSBY kick off their new campaign in the football league with another trip to East London, not far from the scene of their play-off final victory. The Mariners will face Leyton Orient away on 30th July. The first home game is against Northampton on 6th August, which could see former player Ben Fox return.
Boxing Day sees Grimsby travel to Harrogate and New Year's Day will see them up against last season's National League Champions Stockport County. Good Friday sees the Mariners play Hartlepool at Blundell Park and then Easter Monday away at Donny. The season ends with a home game at Wimbledon.
It will be a significant challenge but Grimsby will be roared on by big crowds with already 5,000 season ticket holders, meaning matchday crowds are likely to be in the 7000-8000 region.
The Mariners have drawn Crewe at home in Round One of the Carabao Cup. The fixture will take place at Blundell Park on 9th August.
