GRIMSBY's squad is taking shape for next season with two new signings, one re-resigning and one departure. Striker Danilo Orsi has joined from Harrogate, and centre back Niall Maher from Halifax - both on two-year contracts.

The pair are both 26 so should be coming up to their peak during their spell with Grimsby. In addition, central defender Luke Waterfall has accepted a two-year deal to continue at Blundell Park until 2024.

Unfortunately, midfielder Ben Fox has decided to join Northampton, who offered him a deal Town were not able to match.

Other new signings are defender Anthony Glennon, who was at loan at Blundell Park in 2019-2020, midfielder Stephen Wearne who joins from Sunderland, plus Amos, Cropper and Clifton have all signed new deals.
