Transfer Deadline Day: LATEST

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 31/01/2023

GRIMSBY have signed striker George Lloyd on loan from Cheltenham until the end of the season in their first bit of Deadline Day business. The 22-year-old has had loan spells at Hereford and Port Vale. He has played around 100 games in his career and scored 9 goals so far.

Lloyd was a regular for Cheltenham when they won League Two in 2020–21. He played for Cheltenham in the FA Cup in November so will not be available for cup games.

The day's second signing was Tom Dickson-Peters, a 20-year-old Scottish striker who has had limited first-team opportunities at Norwich and had a loan at Gillingham last season. He is well-regarded at City and has a contract there until 2025.

The third signing was Hull City right-back Josh Emmanuel, 25, who joins until the end of the season for an "undisclosed fee". He hasn't played a game since 2021.

The window is now closed.
