Promotion and Relegation Speculation

David Peasgood this weekend finds Bert and Fred are considering who they fancy to go up this year from Div 1 and who will come down from the premiership.
Hear their views and YOU decide in our latest 'fishy' poll.

Ups and Downs

BERT:
Well it looks like Charlton are in the clear. I fancy Ipswich to join them.

FRED:
Man City ought to get 2nd automatic spot but they seem to have lost it a bit and Ipswich are coming good after a mid-season wobble. Ipswich are favourites.

BERT:
Barnsley, Man City and Birmingham look good for 3 play off spots.

FRED:
The 4th one is Huddersfield, Fulham or Wolves by the look of it..

BERT:
I hope it 'aint Fulham. Moneybags united. They don't deserve to be able to buy success.

FRED:
Wolves are a big club and have been out the prem for a long time now. Maybe they deserve a go at the top again.

BERT:
Maybe. But I don't like midlands clubs especially. I'd rather see Huddersfield get there. They've shown good sound business sense and clever marketing policy to increase crowds along with a good manager and a team playing attractive football.

FRED:
Ok then. Huddersfield, Brum, Man City and Barnsley. Who plays who in the final?

BERT:
I guess it has to be Man City and I'd go for Barnsley as well. They've got the experience from the premiership of two years ago to get back there.

FRED:
As long as it isn't Birmingham. I'd like to see either Man City or Barnsley promoted but I'll go for Man city as my favourite.

BERT:
And whose to come down then?

FRED:
Well Sheff weds and Watford are certs. I hope Bradford survive, and I can see them doing it with Southampton coming down.

BERT:
For once I agree entirely with you. I wonder what others fancy?
