Norwegian Bosmans - the Complete List

THE CLUB need some players, but don't seem to have money. Well here is the total of Tippeliga players that are free to negotiate with other clubs from 1st July. Some of these are very good, my top three would be Kihlstedt in Brann, Svindal Larsen in Stabæk and Berre in Viking.

FIFA agent Einar Baardsen thinks that the Bosman players are most interested in the English 1st division. "The clubs have the economics to pay solid wages, but they are not interested to pay for the players. But Premier clubs however want to get established stars," explained Stavanger-based Baardsen.

Stig Lillejordet, the agent that Knut Anders Fostervold used when he negotiated with Grimsby also admits that it is the clubs from the smaller European leagues that will show most interest for these players.

The Bergen-based agent maybe still has some contacts in Grimsby judging from his comments: "From now and until August five to ten players sign will for foreign clubs," Lillejord estimated. Hopefully also Erik Solér will be an investor in Grimsby. At the moment the millionaire agent is working hard to find a new club for midfielder Tommy Svindal Larsen . "I don't think that it will be a problem to sell the better Bosman players," explained the Norwegian.

BRANN:

  • Magnus Kihlstedt - Swedish international, goalie that already have been put on the Reserve team
  • Arne Vidar Moen - reliable defender that may will sign up for Lillestrøm where he now is on loan

  • Svante Samuelsson - a steady Swede with a past in Trelleborg. One of the best players in the league
  • Mons Ivar Mjelde - a former Austria Wien star. The Norwegian striker is now on loan to Sogndal
  • VIKING:

  • Morten Berre - a very good striker. Newcastle have put their eyes on him earlier, despite a poor goal rate
  • Trond Heggestad - a player that have showed on some occasions that he have some class skills
  • Patrick Holtet - U-19 international. Can be used as right back or winger. Talented, but never been given the chance by Viking boss Benny Lennartsson

  • ROSENBORG:

  • Bent Inge Johnsen - a versatile player that is out of favour of Rosenborg's boss Nils Arne Eggen

  • STABÆK:

  • Petur Marteinsson - Iceland international. A very good central defender - a man for Lennie?

  • LILLESTRØM:

  • Olav Zanetti - right back. That never have got the breakthrough in the Tippeliga as expected
  • Magnus Kihlberg - Swedish midfielder. Underrated for this years surprise team in the Tippeligaen
  • ODD GRENLAND:

  • BÃ¥rd Borgersen - central defender with expirence for Norway. Have earlier been on trial with Barnsley - where he played against the Grimsby reserves with Lennie in the stands...
  • Erik Pedersen - a warrior on the midfield. Have expirence from his time in Scotland with Dundee. The crowds favourite is maybe a bit old now
  • MOSS:

  • Johan Petter Winsnes - right back. An OK player with most expirence from the 1. division
  • Anders Juliussen - player that is believed to retire after many injury troubles lately
  • BODØ/GLIMT:

  • Christian Berg - central defender with a past in Rosenborg. Was believed to become a star, have so far struggled this season
  • Eivind Eriksen - a local fighter. Most used as a striker - had an extreme goal record from the lower divisions before he joined Bodø a couple of seasons ago

  • Tommy Bergersen - left sided midfielder. Last season was great have struggled with injuries this season
  • BRYNE:

  • Svein Bø - a reserve goalie that have fort with the talented Eskeland the last seasons. Haven't got many matches, but have proved that he is an OK goalie.
  • Einar Braut - known as 'the peasant'. A right back with some trouble with the pace
  • Jørgen Rangnes - a giant defender. But can also be used as a striker. Probably the local Livvo... A nice fellow that also works in a kindergarden!
  • Knut SirevÃ¥g - was seemed on as Bryne's future a couple of years back together with Soma that now is in West Ham. This season he have failed get the trust by the managers.
  • Jonas Jonsson - Swedish striker - known for his temper. Haven't been the wanted success for Bryne
  • LYN:

  • Thomas André Ødegaard - a goalie that impressed last season in the first division when he played numbers of matches keeping the zero. Also good this season, a good goalie with pasta in Viking and Rosenborg where he didn't made the grades
Odd Karl Stangnes - player that haven't played much this season. The midfielder have also been in Bodø/Glimt
  • Lasse Jørn Fredriksen - a rather anonymous face in Norway. Think he is a midfielder around the 30's
  • Frode Fredriksen - topscorer in the 1. division. Not the same success in the Tippeligaen though
  • Espen Haug - a very experienced midfielder that always seems to grew with the tasks
  • Axel Kolle - a smart technical midfielder that was near to sign for Genoa a while ago
  • Marius Skjønsberg - another of these players with a past from the national 1. division. He is a midfielder however in the age group of about 25.
  • Per Egil Swift - the teams captain. A good anchor for Lyn at the moment. Previously been used as a winger
  • Ole Bjørn Sundgot - past from Bradford and Molde, then as an offensive winger. In his old days he is more of a right back
  • STRØMSGODSET:

  • Glenn Arne Hansen - a goalie that can have some wonder matches that brings him on TV, can also have some matches that not is that good that of course also brings him on TV. He don't have a TV face...
  • Lars Granaas - a good midfielder - at least on the 1. division level. Not the same in the Tippeliga, but still pretty OK
  • SOGNDAL:

  • Roar Fredriksen - defender that in the last two league matches have scored 5 goals as a striker! Have earlier been most on the bench in the 1. division!!
  • André Herfindal - young talented defender. Think he is good, and he also have this potential
  • Asle Hillestad - must be the Norwegian answer of Tony Ford. 'Does he still play!?' you say every time you hear his name. OK he is pretty young thinking of Ford, born in 1968 - but think he have been very bold since the middle 80's - a classy cult hero
