Kids Free At BP For Wimbledon Game.

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 20/03/2002

GRIMSBY Town are to throw open the Osmond Stand to home fans for Saturday's game with Wimbledon. And in conjunction with the Grimsby Telegraph's Up the Mariners campaign there will be a special child free offer.

Adults who pay the full £12 price at the ticket office will be able to bring up to two juniors, aged 15 and under, free.

The Grimsby Telegraph who are running their "up the Mariners" campaign say, the Mariners have just three home games left and with huge away support expected for the clashes with Sheffield Wednesday and Paul Gascoigne's Burnley, Wimbledon could be the last chance for many casual fans to attend.

Steve Wraith the club's accounts manager said "We'd like to see an 8,000 crowd and this is a great opportunity for dads and mums to bring along two children for free and play their part in generating the atmosphere for this key game".

With Wimbledon only bringing 123 last time, they will get 586 allocated in the covered corner with the Osmond stand providing an additional 1,831 seats for Town fans

This offer runs concurrently with the special offer for season ticket holders. The Bring a Buddie offer allows them to take a friend for £7 and a junior for £3 and another voucher for this appears on page 43 of the Grimsby Telegraph tonight.
