YET another "massive" game at Blundell Park, but this one arguably the biggest of them all when three points will probably see Town secure division one football for another season.

The Bottom Line

Everything is extremely tense at the bottom of the first division, with Town just two points away from the relegation zone after Crewe's 3-1 loss at Birmingham on Wednesday night. However, IF Town beat Burnley at Blundell Park on Saturday, Town's first division status COULD be secure - a fusillade of If's and But's, but it all depends on what Crewe and Barnsley do. A draw for the Mariners would not be a total disaster but it makes life extremely difficult and would mean that Town would probably have to win away at Millwall on the last day. A loss is unthinkable, but possible, with Burnley is a rich vein of form after a win over Gillingham last week. But they are in a totally different situation, looking to cement a play off place.

Although he will probably be on the bench, "Livvo" as he is known to the Town fans could play an important role for the Mariners on Saturday. The ex Chelsea forward had not appeared for the Mariners this season until last week away at Norwich, where he had an instant impact, creating a goal within 15 minutes of his arrival. Should Town need a goal, Livvo's presence could be crucial.

David Johnson

Former Bury striker who made his name at Ipswich Town where his goals helped Ipswich reach the Premiership in the 1999/2000 season. Skilful attacker who moved to Nottingham Forest for a Â£3 million fee, but found goals hard to come by (Except against the Mariners, when he scored against us last season!). Had a brief loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday but rejoined his old boss Stan Ternant at Turf Moor over a month ago. Always a threat in and around the box.

Town Team News

Town have the whole squad available except David Smith and Tony Gallimore. Smith is injured, and Gallimore is suspended after picking up 10 bookings this season. This will mean a start for Ben Chapman who hasn't played since Town's 2-0 loss at Crewe in January.

Stuart Campbell probably won't play due to injury, so Terry Cooke will keep his place in midfield.

Bradley Allen and Michael Boulding should be fit to play, so they could be reunited up front. This will mean Paul Robinson dropping to the bench despite some good performances since his loan move from Wimbledon.

Steve Livingstone will probably be on the bench along with Robinson.

This means no place on the bench for Willie Falconer, who has been struggling with ligament strains all week, Robert Taylor or Phil Jevons

Burnley Team News

Former Town trialist Alan Moore is suspended so will not play.

Ian Cox will not play, but could make the play offs if Burnley make it.

Steve Davis didn't suffer any reaction to an injury that before last weeks game kept him out for five games, so he will start in the Burnley defence.

The last time the two sides came head to head was way back in November at Turf Moor, when Town lost 1-0 to a Gareth Taylor goal early on. Burnley dominated most of the match, and it was only until Paul Raven came on as a centre forward that Town started creating anything.

Fishy Prediction

After predicting a 1-1 draw last week, I'm on form, but don't expect me to be right! Town need to win this game more than any other this season and although it might not be pretty, I have a feeling we can do it.
