Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

The Fishyio: 04-Oct

By: The Fishyio
Date: 04/10/2002

WELL at last we got our first three points of the season. Surely a boost as we head into a hard month of games and once again the injury list is as long as can be. A total of 9 players are out.

Steve Croudson: A long term absentee who had shoulder surgery in the summer. Hes back in training with the goalkeepers at the club although that must be lonely as Danny Coyne and youngster Fraser are the only fit ones left.

Sean Allaway: the loanee keeper from Leeds suffered a pulled hamstring in the recent reserve game, which Town lost 7-0 to York.

Steve Chettle: the defender is famous for his back problems and they have flared up again. No offence against Chettle but this may be a blessing in disguise as this gives Ford a chance to show the form he is capable of.

Paul Groves: the manager is also carrying an leg injury. Grovsie will probably have to stay in his tracksuit and sit on the bench today. As Grovsie isn't used to the bench someone will have to remind him that the bloke sat next to him is Graham Rodger.

Tony Gallimore: the left back has been suspended for 3 games which means Barnard will fill in.

Stacy Coldicott and Steve Kabba are both struggling to make it as well.

As for a prediction I am gonna say 1-1, that way if I am right I can gloat.
