The Fishy 5-A-Side Team(s) Blackpool

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 01/07/2003

THE organisers of the 5-a-side comp inform me that we can have a team of eight. Five players and three subbies. The team must be the same from start to finish. No changes to the team of eight submitted.

We can however enter two teams. The Fishy is prepared to do that if we can get a firm commitment from those who have put their names forward. We will pay the entry fee of 35 pounds each for the teams.

The players have to play in a Mariners shirt and same coloured shorts and must be able to get themselves to Blackpool. We will give each team 30 pounds for petrol if you request it.

That is the situation. Yorky Mariner has offered to manage the first team and we need a manager for the second team if we have one. Email me please, any volunteers for manager!

I have received a number of emails from people wanting to take part. We might even get a 3rd team. Who knows?

We need now to move quickly. We need Yorky Mariner to email me and if any prospective player has not already done so, email me now at billo@gtisc.co.uk

The Fishy will be in the comp and we expect you to win the trophy!!! If we do win it we would ask the club to put it in their Trophy Cabinet (There must be heaps of space LOL)
