Mark Smith1990-199340 (46)4 goals

Pacy left-sided player who always seemed to cause John McDermott problems when playing in Huddersfield colours, so it’s understandable that the signing of Smith was thought to be a good one. Sadly it wasn’t. No better than Dave Gilbert on the wing or Kevin Jobling at fullback, Smith was mainly used as a late sub to exploit tiring legs.

His stay at Town ended in 1993 when he followed that familiar route down the road to Glanford Park were he enjoyed a slightly more successful stay.
