Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

September Player of the Month

By: Tony Hamilton
Date: 07/10/2003

HERE we go a second month into the new season and Town’s form is up and down due to injuries to key players and suspensions that have been picked up along the way. Here are the six players which we want you to vote for in September’s player of the month.

Home > 2003-2004 Season > Player of the Month > September

Graham Hockless
Graham Hockless A up and coming midfielder who was thrown into the lions' den when the injuries caught up with Town’s squad. The 20-year-old did very well when called upon and is going to be a good prospect when he gets the chance to fulfil his full potential. Graham Hockless Profile
Tony Crane
Tony Crane Has shown his good and bad side since his free transfer from Sheffield Wednesday. Being young and having a long contract here at Blundell Park will hopefully improve his game. Tony Crane Profile
Nicky Daws
Nicky Daws Brought in from Rotherham initially a month's loan has shown our midfielders how to play in that position. If we could afford it the Rotherham playmaker would be a good acquisition to our squad as he’s brought another dimension to our midfield. Nicky Daws Profile
Michael Boulding
Michael Boulding Been on fire in the first few games of the season but his scoring boots have dried up at the moment. If he has the right partner with him up front the former Villa frontman could be adding to the goals he’s scored this season. Michael Boulding Profile
Mike Edwards
Mike Edwards Brought in from Hull City in the summer after more that 250 games for the Tigers. Has had to wait for his chance and has shorn up our leaky defence after making his debut at left back! Will prove to be another Paul Groves good find amongst all the released players who were on the market. Mike Edwards Profile
Aidan Davison
Aidan Davison In his second spell with the Mariners after playing for a few Yorkshire clubs in between. Hopefully he will be as good as in his first spell here depending who’s playing in front of him and will be a good 'keeper like numerous ones before him at Grimsby Town. Aidan Davison Profile
