Parkinson is a Doubt For Saturday

ANDY Parkinson is on the injury list and looks like he may not make the Mariners trip to Peterborough on Saturday as he appears to be suffering from Periostitis.
Periostitis (shin splints) is an inflammation of the thin layer of tissue that covers the shin which can be caused by running on hard ground. Stress fractures are often wrongly diagnosed as shin splints which is probably why town are being cautious and will probably have a scan performed.
He was also a doubtful for Tuesday's League game at Chester but appeared to come through that game without problems.
Town will now check on him before they leave for London Road on Saturday.
