Barry Hunter Says; 'We Have A Chance'

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 03/03/2006

BARRY Hunter manager of Rushden & Diamonds thinks that they have a chance against the Mariners but said that they would be tougher opponents than Macclesfield.

In an interview on his official site he said; "In theory yes and in my opinion they are arguably the strongest team in our league. They've got good players all over the pitch in every position and they play this league very, very well."

"We know it's going to be a really tough game but we're looking forward to it. We can take a lot from the last three games but we know we can do better. We just have to get the support behind us, the whole place behind us but I have to say that the club is very positive at the moment and there is no negativity at all. We've got to use that and take it onto the pitch."

"Grimsby will have one eye on going top of the league and maybe they'll be thinking that they are well cemented into the play-offs and that will give us the edge."
